- Make sure that you have fully charged the battery of your device.
- Turn off your Xperia Z.
- Simultaneously press and hold the Volume keys (Volume + and -), while also holding down press on / off button. Release the on / off button but hold down the volume Volume + and - keys.
- The phone will restart and a menu will appear. To move through this menu use the Volume down button and select the Recovery option by using the power button.
- After seeing the Android logo with a yellow triangle you must press and hold the Volume keys Volume + and -, which will bring you a new menu. Select Wipe Data / Factory Reset option and select with button on / off.
- Now in the new screen which appears select the Yes option. Now confirm with the ON / OFF button.
Now the terminal will begin the process and once completed your mobile phone will be as straight out of the box.
How to Hard Reset your Xperia Z (from the phone’s settings):

- Access Backup.
- Select Factory data reset.
- Finally press Reset phone.
